Eucharistic adoration is grounded in the truth of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. While at Eucharistic adoration one may have of silent prayer and reflection in the presence of the exposed Eucharist, communal prayers, hymns, or devotional practices like recitation of the Rosary can take place. Adoration may be held in a perpetual adoration chapel, where the Eucharist is available for continuous prayer.

So, the question is, why should one adopt Eucharistic adoration in their prayer, and plan of life?

  5. Spiritual growth and transformation: Eucharistic adoration is a means of spiritual growth and transformation. By contemplating the presence of Christ in the Eucharist, we seek to be transformed into His likeness, deepen our faith, and receive the strength and grace to live as faithful disciples.

  6. Reparation and intercession: Eucharistic adoration can also act of reparation for sins, seeking to make amends for our own offenses and those of others. Additionally, we could offer intercessory prayers for the needs of the Church, the world, and personal intentions.

Eucharistic adoration fosters a deep sense of reverence, love, and devotion towards Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity to spend time with Jesus, to offer prayers, to seek guidance and spiritual nourishment, and to experience a personal encounter with the divine presence.
